Pirated Copies of YTK Pro

Program NewsSo-called cracked copies of YTK Pro 1.0 Beta Build 260 are circulating the internet. We've got our hands on a few samples of these 'cracked copies' and investigated them. We can confirm that since we began protecting YTK Pro's main components it has has NOT been cracked. These 'so-called' cracks are just a 260 or 264 setup file and a very old version of the YTK Pro main executable. Upon installing the the legitimate setup file you are requested to copy the 'older' main executable into the YTK Pro 'Program Files' folder after canceling the activation routine. What you end up with is an outdated version of YTK Pro mixed with more recent dll's which spells trouble from the beginning.
Side effects.
1. This is a really really old version!
2. It contains bugs which have since been squashed.
3. It's unstable since you're mixing it with newer versions of the .dll components. (It WILL crash)
4. Cracked software can and does contain malicious code. You could have your Yahoo! account stolen or worse. (If you want your data hacked - then yes look for cracked software) 
Recommendations
1. We provide a free, stable, legit version - so if you don't wish to purchase the 'Pro' version use this!
2. Browse the 'Look Here!' tour at the top of this website. You'll find dozens of reason why the once off payment is a worthwhile investment for unlimited free updates to YTK Pro. It really is great value - even for the support alone!
Unfortunately we have to go to extreme lengths to protect our intellectual property and our customers interests. We continue to provide top notch software, excellent support and in general we take care of our customers. All versions of YTK Pro released within the past few months (and there has been a lot) are protected with a scheme that has NOT been broken. We plan to keep it that way!

New Product Tour

We've relaunched the Product Tour. It's greatly improved and is a true testement to the YTK Pro feature set. We encourage anyone who is potentially interested in our product to not only download the
'Lite' version but to walk through the Tour. We've named the tab in the navigation 'Look Here!'.
In the next few days we'll be releasing a new YTK Pro build with yet another unique feature that will provide our members with the fully rounded protection that is simply not available in any other solution

Yahoo! Chat Service returns to normal

After weeks of frustratingly slow performance the Yahoo! Chat Service is returning to some sense of normality. All services seem to be functioning correctly now and the delays while entering chatrooms seem to have been eliminated.
New vHook.dll update

Program NewsThe last modular update consisted of the classic skin fix with the bitmap images on the new toolbar buttons in chat as well as the images being transparent now. I went ahead and fixed the #2 complaint which was YTK windows were popping under the chat window instead of on top in sight where they belong. A couple other minor internal code optimizations have also been made in this build of the hooking module. Lastly, the "Activate Flood Deflection" checkbox in Yahoo Messenger's sign-in dialog is no longer superimposed so it will no longer bleed through the window when signing into Yahoo.

Issues with Yahoo! Chat

Yahoo! has posted a bulletin as to why we're experiencing so many issues at the moment with Yahoo! chat service. We noticed this message on http://help.yahoo.com which explains a lot....
YTK Pro developers have developed clever work arounds for such issues like the incomplete roomlists, the infamous ''You can't ignore yourself'' error and delays while joining the chatroom amongst others. These fixes have been implemented into YTK Pro thus minimizing and in most cases eliminating the various problems.
'Shiney new Buttons' available for download!

Program NewsOur Dev team released an update for vHook.dll yesterday which includes updated 'Extended Chatroom Control' buttons (see the previous post). One of our graphics guys (Mike) made these integrate perfectly into the Chatroom Toolbar.
You'll need to download this file and copy the enclosed 'vHook.dll' into the YTK Pro folder in 'C:/Program Files'. They will of course be included as part of the regular installer in the next build.

Program NewsThe programmers at Torseq Tech. are readying a new build of YTK Pro. The new build which is currently in the final stages internal testing is almost ready to be relesed to the public. The quality of the internal testing is reflected by the lack of bug reports from our members who enjoy thoroughly tested and stable builds.
This latest build greatly enhances YTK Pro's integration with MultiMedia applications with the addition of support for Windows Media Player and Apple's iTunes via plugins. The latest build also includes some new buttons to enhance the chat experience by making the most frequently used options available from right within the chat window as well as some minor bug fixes.
As we mentioned in the
Support Forum, we've split the initial release of this build into two in order to be able to get the builds out to you faster! We're working hard on a Protection technology which will further enhance the protection schemes we already provide and believe are the best in their class! We were first to provide protection from the 'Room Boot (Broadcast DoS)' where others failed to provide any protection at all - and our new protection technology is going to be another first for programs in YTK Pro's class.
We've got a lot of unique, exciting and innovative additions coming to YTK.....

Chat Servers return to 'normal'

It appears that normal Yahoo! chat service has resumed. The issues relating to entering the rooms has been resolved.

We've received a number of reports from users having problems attempting to access Yahoo! Chatrooms. All users are able to sign into Yahoo! Messenger but are unable to access the chatrooms. We'll keep you posted!
