YTK Pro v1.0 Build 284 release notes:

• Custom ignore message (WYSIWYG) is now fixed from being broken in the last public build (280). A small last minute compilation change caused the option to break but is now back in fully-working order.
• Selective Auto-Updater in some cases was not able to be invoked through YTK Pro's system tray menu but is fixed now.
• /Uptime command was still misbehaving in some circumstances due to a small packet discrepancy that we overlooked but is now fixed.
• YTK Pro's internal partial YM dialog error suppression was killing the YM dialog that informed the user that a user's webcam could not be viewed and the cam window was also being shown and then killed causing them to believe that this was a bug with webcam in general and YTK Pro which is not the case since YTK Pro itself does not even touch the webcam connection. This particular dialog is now no longer killed anymore and users will not see the "not connected" cam window being killed anymore as per YM's default design.
• Added text-to-speech support in chat rooms via Microsoft's 4.0 Speech API Engine. The Speech Engine must be downloaded and installed separately in order for YTK Pro to use this new feature in chat rooms. A Gender-aware option was also added that allows YTK Pro to determine the gender of the chat room user who's posting a message and select the appropriate voice gender whether it be a male, female or even genderless voice (no gender specified on the user's Yahoo! profile).

The massive delay experienced by most Yahoo! Chat users attempting to enter Chatrooms has finally been solved thanks to Craig's R&D over at Y!Mlite. Torseq Technologies has implemented this workaround directly into YTK Pro and it reduces the delay to from up to 10 minutes (if you get in at all) to a matter of seconds.

Amongst this addition we're introducing a host of new features completely unique to YTK Pro. In this latest build which focus mostly on the 'Voice'/Audio aspects of Yahoo! chat. YTK Pro now increases the quality of the Yahoo! Audio Conference by filtering consistently 'red lining' audio (excessively loud), filtering audio data that cannot be heard (volumeless) and other audio which is determined to be uncomfortable.

Oh... and one more thing. We're now giving you the option to filter out those who are receiving multiple 'voice ignores'. This can be the case if there is a abusive/malicious user in the chatroom who is being ignored by multiple users. It saves you from the undesirable experience of having to hear something nasty.


Although we consider this build to be a maintenance build we think you'll agree that the additions will make your chat experience a whole lot better!

We've been working on new builds of both products (YTK Pro and VC Sync) and both should be available this weekend if all goes according to plan. Release notes will be posted in the next few days. We consider both maintenance builds which address some very minor issues that some users may encounter and of course add in new options to further extend the current feature sets of both programs.

YTK Lite is also in the process of being completely rebuilt from the ground up based on YTK Pro build 272 so this should make a lot of YTK Lite users happy as more options will be available and of course 272 is much better of a base to build from as opposed to the Christmas release.

We've been looking at more ways to protect these and we'll bring these new features to you very very soon!

We're producing support video in multiple formats now to better assist our customers.

These include animated gifs (plays in any browser), MP4 (plays in quicktime) and DIVX (plays in almost all multimedia players). We will add support for WMV also.

Today we launched a new web-design incorporating a few new cosmetic and functional additions including a new way to view full size images without having to open a new browser window or navigate away from the page you are reading. However... my personal favorite addition to the website is 'Support Center 2.0'. Support Center 2.0 will be the one stop support shop for all applications developed by Torseq Technologies ie. YTK Pro, VC Sync and... perhaps one more

We think our 'Support Center 2.0' is great because...

a. Full-Frame animated knowledge-base articles and...
b. It's Subscribable! (Ok, there is no such word, but you know what I mean)

We think this will satisfy all of our customers support needs as specific questions answered in the support forum can be added to 'Support Center 2.0' and downloaded directly to your desktop via your RSS reader.

Our goal beginning today is to add as much support documentation as possible to Support Center 2.0 covering all areas of our products including the current YTK Pro and VC Sync.
